In our ongoing effort to educate homeowners and consumers about basement waterproofing and wet basement solutions, we’ve put together a series of educational videos to explain the differences between types of sump pumps.  This series will focus on what the homeowner should look for, and avoid, in choosing this important piece of basement waterproofing equipment.  This series will cover these important topics:

To host this series, we’ve recruited a true sump pump expert.  Barry Schilling, vice president of U.S. Waterproofing and a basement waterproofing pro with more than 25 years’ experience will explain the features, benefits and pitfalls of sump pumps.  He will cover both the consumer brands you’ll find at the big box store and those brands supplied by basement waterproofing companies.

In this first video, Barry explains a basic difference in sump pumps – pedestal pumps vs. submersible pumps.

Pedestal vs. Submersible Sump Pumps — Which is Better for Your Home?

At U.S. Waterproofing, we‘ve installed tens of thousands of sump pumps (along with thousands of battery backup pumps) since our founding in 1957.  If we can help you with your sump pump, or any other basement seepage problem, please ask for our advice.  It’s free.
