U.S.Waterproofing wins the Better Business Bureau 2016 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics Honorable Mention
December 1, 2016 – Out of hundreds of nominees, U.S. Waterproofing was one of only ten companies recognized at the Better Business Bureau’s 20th annual Torch Awards Luncheon. Six Chicago-area businesses were Torch Award recipients and four others, including U.S. Waterproofing, earned honorable mention.
“We are pleased to again be recognized,” said President, Matt Stock. (The company received its previous Torch Award in 2006.)
“Every aspect of our business, from sales through service, is grounded on three ethical business principles — treat customers fairly and with respect; charge them a fair price, and stand behind our work. And just as important is our honest approach with customers not to tell them they need a new car if all they have is a flat tire. Unfortunately this approach tends not to be the norm in our industry.”
During his acceptance speech, Stock also mentioned the mutual respect that exists among the award winning companies with some being U.S. Waterproofing customers like ABT Electronics and Lieberman Management Services and one, C.D.W. his former employer.
